French President Emmanuel Macron has welcomed the conclusion of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“I welcome the announcement of the conclusion of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. There are now no remaining obstacles to the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which should pave the way for a lasting peace in the South Caucasus,” Macron said in a post on X.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed today that the draft “Agreement on Peace and Establishment of Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan” has been agreed upon and the negotiations have been concluded accordingly.
