Armenia, Greece keen to expand economic cooperation

The 6th sitting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Industrial and Scientific-Technical Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Hellenic Republic was held in Yerevan today under the chairmanship of Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and the Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece Kostas Fragogiannis.

According to the Armenian Ministry of Economy, a number of issues related to cooperation in the fields of economy and investments, trade, industry, development of small and medium-sized enterprises, agriculture, environment and climate change, healthcare, digitalization, new technologies, high technologies and science, quality infrastructure, transport, tourism and other areas were discussed.

“The sessions of the intergovernmental commission between the Republic of Armenia and the Hellenic Republic have become an important platform, where it is possible to discuss existing issues and identify new areas of cooperation, develop effective mechanisms aimed at revealing the potential of our countries. In this context, we would like the Greek capital to be further expanded in Armenia, which will be mutually beneficial for the economies of our two countries,” noted Gevorg Papoyan.

Following the results of the session, the protocol of the intergovernmental commission session were signed.
