Magnitude 4.3 earthquake hits Turkish-Iranian border, felt in Armenia

A magnitude 4.3 earthquake hit the Turkish-Iranian border, 7km northeast of the city of Maku at 23 km 14:31 local time (10:31 GMT), the Armenian Seismic Protection Service reports.

The quake was registered at the depth of 10 km. The intensity reached 5-6 at the epicenter.

The tremor was felt in Armenia’s capital Yerevan, as well as the Ararat region.
