Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze resigns

Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has resigned. He made the announcement in a Facebook post.

“The purpose of my nomination as Georgia’s Prime Minister in 2018 was the creation and implementation of a framework for the country’s strategic development that would ensure the achievement of our state goals in the coming years and would become the country’s development guide,” Bakhtadze said in the post.

“The strategic framework has been created. Therefore, I have decided to leave my post, as I consider my mission completed for this period,” he added.
