Armenian de-miners clear an area of 48,967 square meters in Syria

Armenian mine-clearance specialists on humanitarian mission in Syria have cleared an area of 48,967 square meters between June 8 and August 25, the Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise (CHDE) reports.

During the same period, Armenian doctors have provided medical assistance to 2,420 people. They’ve also worked at the UN Charity Center for Gynecology and Pediatrics.

Armenian specialists have been carrying out humanitarian mission in Syria since February 2019. A second group of doctors and de-miners was dispatched to Syria in June.
