Film director, People’s Artist of Armenia Ruben Gevorgyants passed away today aged 71.
Born on November 30, 1945 in Yerevan, Ruben Gevorgyants graduated from the Directing Department of Yerevan Institute of Fine Arts in 1968.
From 1989 he worked as artistic head and director of the Hayk Documentary Film Studio
Author of about 60 documentaries and some features films. Gevorgyants lectured at the State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan and the State Institute of Theater and Cinematography.
He’s an author of about 70 films.
