Ahead of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, a festival dedicated to Komitas Vardapet will be held in Armenia at the initiative of the Ministry of Diaspora. The opening ceremony will take place at Komitas Pantheon on September 26 – the birthday of the great composer.

Concerts, scientific conferences dedicated to the life and work of Komitas and other events will be organized within that framework.
The festival will be concluded by a gala concert at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. More than 150 Armenian and foreign musicians from 11 countries have applied for participation.
