The Azerbaijani Embassy in Spain delivered a note of protest to the country’s Foreign Ministry in connection with Montserrat Caballé’s trip to Nagorno Karabakh, APA reports.
The embassy also said after it was announced in May that Montserrat Caballé will give concerts in Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh, the embassy’s representatives contacted her managers and administrators and informed them about the possible results of the visit. In response, the singer’s manager had said Caballé would only visit Yerevan.
Also, she visited places of interest and churches in Nagorno Karabakh.
