Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a message of condolence to the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, following the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
“I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of the Father Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
His Highness’s remarkable role and contribution to Qatar’s development, prosperity, and growing international standing, as well as to advancing regional and international dialogue and cooperation, will remain forever in the pages of history.
The Republic of Armenia highly values the late Emir’s significant contribution to strengthening and developing the friendly relations between Armenia and Qatar. This is also reflected in the Republic of Armenia’s decision to award the Father Emir the Order of Friendship.
At this difficult time, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and myself, I extend my deepest condolences to Your Highness, the leadership and the friendly people of Qatar, as well as to the late Emir’s family and loved ones, wishing them strength and fortitude in the face of this great loss,” the message reads.
