
A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck southeastern Azerbaijan on June 12, according to Armenia’s Seismic Protection Territorial Service.
The earthquake was recorded at 3:13 p.m. local time (11:13 GMT), with its epicenter located approximately 52 kilometers southeast of the city of Sheki. The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
According to seismic data, the intensity of the tremor reached 7 points in the epicentral zone.
The earthquake was felt in several regions of Armenia, including Tavush, Gegharkunik and Syunik provinces, where its intensity was estimated at 3-4 points.
