The Strong Armenia Alliance has submitted an application to Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission (CEC) seeking to have the results of the parliamentary elections declared invalid.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Aram Vardevanyan, a candidate on the alliance’s proportional electoral list, said the coalition had presented the CEC with a formal complaint detailing alleged electoral violations recorded both during the pre-election campaign and on election day.
He noted that the Central Electoral Commission is scheduled to review the complaint on Sunday, the same day it is expected to summarize and officially announce the final results of the parliamentary elections.
Parliamentary elections were held across Armenia on June 7, with the Central Electoral Commission currently in the process of finalizing the official results.
