In a post marking Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, U.S. Congressman Frank Pallone urges leaders to call the Armenian Genocide by its proper name.
Pallone noted that on this day in 1915, the genocide of more than one million Armenians in the former Ottoman Empire began with the murder of Armenian intellectuals and community leaders.
He said that on Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, he once again stands in solidarity with Armenian communities around the world and urged political leaders to clearly acknowledge the crime as genocide.
