Mirzoyan, Kallas discuss advancing Armenia–EU strategic agenda, upcoming Yerevan summit

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with European Commission Vice-President and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.

The interlocutors discussed key issues related to the consistent implementation of the Armenia–EU strategic agenda. Particular attention was paid to the substantive preparations for the upcoming Armenia–EU summit scheduled to take place in Yerevan in May. The sides emphasized the importance of delivering tangible results for Armenian citizens through joint programs.

Mirzoyan and Kallas also referred to the initiatives aimed at strengthening democratic resilience, highlighting their central role within the value-based partnership and strategic agenda between Armenia and the EU. In this context, they agreed on ensuring the continuity and effectiveness of existing mechanisms designed to support democratic processes.

The two officials underscored the importance of promoting mutually beneficial projects in the fields of economic and transport connectivity, as well as enhancing cooperation in the energy sector.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
