The Meet Dilijan initiative, which promotes Dilijan as a tourism and MICE destination, participated in the MICE Excellence Forum held in Moscow, Russia. The initiative presented Dilijan as a rapidly developing and promising MICE destination in the region.
The international forum brings together leading professionals in event management, business tourism, and conference services, aiming to foster new collaboration formats and support the development of the global MICE ecosystem.
This year, Meet Dilijan received the MICE Excellence Award, highlighting Dilijan’s growing status as an innovative and competitive destination. The award serves as an additional boost to enhancing Dilijan’s international visibility and expanding its global partnership network.
A notable aspect of the forum was that Dilijan was the only city represented not as a country but as a regional initiative, underscoring its emergence as an independent and increasingly recognized destination on the global stage.
“We believe that Dilijan has the potential to become one of the leading MICE destinations in the region. Participation in the forum allows us to showcase Dilijan’s capabilities to the global professional community and build collaborations that will support the city’s long-term development,” the Meet Dilijan team said.
During the forum, the initiative presented Dilijan’s infrastructure, hotel and cultural environment, as well as examples of successful past events, demonstrating the city’s capacity to host international-level meetings, conferences, and corporate gatherings.
Meet Dilijan’s presence at the MICE Excellence Forum marks an important step in strengthening Dilijan’s position on the international MICE map and enhancing Armenia’s standing in the global business tourism market.
