His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, departed for the Vatican on September 15 for a meeting with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.
The Catholicos is accompanied by Bishop Daniel Findikyan, Head of the Graduate Division of the Gevorkian Theological Seminary; Rev. Fr. Garegin Hambardzumyan, Director of the Mother See’s Inter-Church Relations Department; Rev. Fr. Yesayi Grigoryan, the Catholicos’ staff-bearer; and Rev. Fr. Vahram Melikyan, Director of the Catholicosate’s Information Department.
In the Vatican, His Holiness Karekin II will be joined by Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Pontifical Legate of Western Europe and Representative of the Catholicos of All Armenians to the Holy See, as well as Bishop Hovakim Manukyan, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
