US President Donald Trump greeted Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.
The two world leaders shook hands.
They stepped on a red carpet together and posed for a photo, but they did not take questions from reporters.
President Vladimir Putin then joined President Donald Trump in his presidential limo as they departed the tarmac and headed to their meeting.
