Armenia’s Investigative Committee has released audio recordings obtained through covert investigative operations linked to a high-profile criminal case. The case centers on the Srbazan Paykar (Sacred Struggle) movement, whose leaders and participants are accused of preparing terrorist acts and planning to seize power through force.
According to the Committee, the recordings reveal discussions among the movement’s leadership and several members. Prosecutors assert the content provides clear evidence of a structured criminal group that aimed to violently overthrow the government and carry out terrorist activities in Armenia.
The audio material, captured during legally authorized secret surveillance, includes conversations in which participants discuss logistics, recruitment, and intended violent acts.
The Investigative Committee said earler today that its agents successfully thwarted a plot to seize state power using terror tactics. The scheme was allegedly orchestrated by the “Sacred Struggle” group, which recruited and trained individuals to carry out violent acts across the country. The Committee’s statement emphasized that the operation was closely aligned with actions typically used to orchestrate coups and terror campaigns.
