China is pleased to see the positive progress in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, China’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning said at a daily briefing.
“Armenia and Azerbaijan are both important countries in the South Caucasus region and good friends and partners of China. China sincerely hopes that the two countries will resolve their conflicts and differences through dialogue and consultation and contribute to lasting peace, development and prosperity in the region,” the Spokesperson said.
