Pashinyan says Armenia values deeper ties with Canada in greetings to Carney

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on the occasion of Canada Day, reaffirming Armenia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

“I warmly congratulate you and the friendly people of Canada on Canada Day,” Pashinyan said in his message.

The Prime Minister recalled Carney’s visit to Yerevan in May for the 8th Summit of the European Political Community, describing their meeting as a valuable opportunity to discuss the Armenia-Canada cooperation agenda and identify directions for its further development.

“It was a great honor for me to host you in Yerevan in May of this year, within the framework of the 8th Summit of the European Political Community. I recall with satisfaction our meeting, which provided a good opportunity to discuss the agenda of Armenia-Canada cooperation and outline the directions for its further development,” Pashinyan said.

Expressing confidence in the future of bilateral relations, the Armenian Prime Minister said the positive dialogue between the two leaders would give new impetus to deepening the partnership between Armenia and Canada.

Pashinyan emphasized that Armenia attaches great importance to the continued development of friendly relations with Canada based on democracy, human rights, the rule of law and mutual respect.

He also voiced hope that joint efforts would help further expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest for the benefit of both countries and their peoples.

The Prime Minister concluded his message by wishing Carney good health and success, and extending wishes for peace and prosperity to the people of Canada.
