
Armenia has carried out its first-ever export of domestically produced weapons, according to a statement by Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.
In a post published on his Facebook page, Hayrapetyan announced that during the month of May, three Armenian companies exported weapons to two different countries. He said the value of the exports amounted to millions of dollars.
“During May, three Armenian companies exported weapons to two different countries. In recent years, all of this has been one of the strategic priorities of the Armenian government,” the minister stated.
No additional details were provided regarding the types of weapons exported or the destination countries involved.
