
A tragic road accident near Aghin village in Armenia’s Shirak Province has left six people dead and several others injured, including children, according to the Rescue Service and the Ministry of Health.
The incident occurred on April 10 at around 11:51 a.m., when an emergency call was received at the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ 112 operational management center, reporting that vehicles had overturned near Aghin and that children were inside.
Rescue teams from the regional department of the Rescue Service were immediately dispatched to the scene. It was later confirmed that a collision had occurred between BMW and Opel vehicles.
According to official information, six people were killed in the crash. A total of 11 individuals were affected by the accident.
The Ministry of Health reported that five children were hospitalized through the national emergency medical service. Tragically, the lives of two of them could not be saved. Three injured children are being transferred to medical centers in Yerevan for further treatment.
The condition of the remaining injured victims is described as serious to extremely serious, with patients currently receiving care in intensive care units.
