
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has received a delegation led by Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermeк Kosherbayev, reaffirming the strategic nature of relations between the two countries.
Welcoming the visit, Pashinyan emphasized that high-level mutual visits in recent years have given fresh momentum to the development of multifaceted cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan. He noted that the dynamic bilateral agenda reflects the growing depth of ties.
The Prime Minister also highlighted that ongoing regional developments are having a positive impact on Armenia–Kazakhstan cooperation. In particular, the recently established railway connection via Azerbaijan, Russia, and Georgia is expected to boost trade and economic relations.
Kosherbayev conveyed warm greetings from Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and noted that productive discussions had taken place with Armenian counterparts on all issues of mutual interest. He expressed confidence that the railway link will significantly expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
The Kazakh Foreign Minister also stressed the importance of unblocking regional transport routes and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s support for the TRIPP initiative and the Armenian government’s “Crossroads of Peace” project. He underlined Kazakhstan’s interest in advancing these initiatives to enhance regional connectivity and economic integration.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation in infrastructure, construction, agriculture, technology, aviation, and tourism. In this context, both parties underscored the importance of launching direct flights between Armenia and Kazakhstan in the near future.
They also highlighted the upcoming visit of an Armenian business delegation to Kazakhstan, which is expected to further stimulate economic cooperation and strengthen business ties between the two countries.
