Armenian PM attending Nuclear Energy Summit in Paris

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is attending the Nuclear Energy Summit in Paris.

A welcoming ceremony and joint photo session for participating leaders and officials took place as part of the Nuclear Energy Summit.

The event brought together heads of state, government representatives, and international organization leaders to discuss the role of nuclear energy in addressing global energy challenges, strengthening energy security, and supporting climate goals.

Participants posed for an official group photograph following the welcoming ceremony, marking the formal start of the summit’s high-level discussions.

Nuclear energy is attracting growing interest around the world. It accounts for nearly 10% of global electricity production and is regarded by many countries as an essential complement to renewable energies for the production of dispatchable, low-carbon electricity.

This summit represents an important opportunity to strengthen international cooperation and promote real-world solutions for the safe and sustainable development of civil nuclear power.

In addition to facilitating dialogue, the summit aims to encourage the development of initiatives and partnerships among countries, international organizations, financial institutions and industry.
