Armenia’s Ministry of Economy of Armenia has confirmed reports about a second shipment of fuel products being imported from Azerbaijan.
In response to an inquiry from Armenpress, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Economy, Lilit Shaboyan, confirmed the information circulated by Azerbaijani outlets, without providing further details.
Earlier, on January 7, Azerbaijani media reported that Baku was planning to send a larger batch of fuel products to Armenia on January 8. According to those reports, the shipment was expected to include 1,000 tons of A92 gasoline, 1,000 tons of diesel fuel, and 1,800 tons of A95 gasoline.
Armenia imported fuel products from Azerbaijan for the first time at the end of 2025. On December 19, a train carrying Azerbaijani gasoline was dispatched to Armenia via Georgia and arrived at the Ayrum railway station. The train consisted of 22 wagons loaded with 1,218 tons of A95 gasoline.
