The pre-trial detention of Samvel Karapetyan, founder of the Tashir Group of Companies, has been extended for another two months, his lawyers have announced, Armenpress reports.
Karapetyan’s lawyers said they will file an appeal against the court’s decision to prolong his detention.
The businessman was arrested on June 18 and charged with making public calls for the seizure of power and the overthrow of the constitutional order. Karapetyan has denied the charges brought against him.
