2 gold and 2 bronze medals for Armenia at International Mathematics Competition

Armenian students have achieved remarkable success at the 32nd International Mathematics Competition (IMC), winning two gold and two bronze medals, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport informs.

The prestigious event took place from July 28 to August 3 and brought together 434 students from 73 universities around the world.

Representing Armenia, Ruben Hambardzumyan and Vahram Asatryan were awarded gold medals for their outstanding performances, while Stepan Gevorgyan and Narek Hoveyan secured bronze medals.

The Armenian team was led by Albert Gevorgyan and trained by Karen Qeryan, Vazgen Mikayelyan, Tigran Hakobyan, and Albert Gevorgyan.

The IMC is one of the most important international mathematics competitions for university students, providing a platform for young talents to demonstrate their problem-solving skills and mathematical ingenuity. Armenia’s continued success at the IMC reflects the country’s strong tradition in mathematical education and talent development.
