
Vietnam’s National Assembly (NA) Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn will visit Armenia on April 1-5, the Armenian National Assembly’s press office reports.
This marks the first official visit to Armenia by a top Vietnamese legislator since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1992.
In Armenia Trần Thanh Mẫn will participate in the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-150).
According to Voice of Vietnam, the participation of the Vietnamese top legislator in the IPU-150 Assembly demonstrates Vietnam’s strong commitment to multilateralism and its recognition of the IPU’s role. It also reaffirms the Vietnamese National Assembly as an active, responsible, and proactive member of the IPU.
