Armenian PM, Dutch FM discuss bilateral relations, regional peace process

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Caspar Veldkamp.

The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of Caspar Veldkamp to Armenia and emphasized the dynamic nature of cooperation between the two countries. Nikol Pashinyan highly appreciated the level of bilateral political dialogue, adding that it is necessary to take steps to further expand ties in economy and other areas. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the role of the Netherlands in deepening Armenia-EU relations and effectively implementing the democratic reform agenda in our country.

Caspar Veldkamp noted that close cooperation based on mutual trust has been established between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries. According to him, the Declaration on Strategic Partnership signed between Armenia and the Netherlands today will elevate bilateral relations to a new level. At the same time, he added that the Netherlands will continue to contribute to the development of Armenia-EU cooperation, including in order to advance the reform agenda.

The interlocutors discussed Issues related to the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and regional stability. Views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
