Yerevan is Moscow’s natural strategic partner and ally, Russia is interested in developing good-neighborly relations, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said as he opened talks with visiting Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan.
“The previous year was not easy for bilateral relations. Today, we are determined to discuss openly, in the spirit of the atmosphere supported by our leaders – President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, all the issues on the agenda, which are important for you and the Russian Federation,” Lavrov said.
“I am convinced that we will now constructively consider all the existing problems. We have always valued and continue to value fraternal ties with the Armenian people, Armenia, our natural strategic partner, ally.”
