Armenia and France have signed a contract on acquisition of three GM200 radars, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said in a post on X .
The parties have also signed a letter of intent on the future delivery of France’s Mistral short-range air defense system.
“Armenia must be able to defend itself and protect its population,” Minister Lecornu said.
According to the Defense Minister, France will support the Armenian army in its transformation by opening in January 2023 of a defense mission, sending a French officer as military advisor within the Armenian Ministry of Defense team, numerous visits and work meetings.
L’Arménie doit pouvoir se défendre et protéger sa population.
