Armenia, Singapore taking relations to new level

Armenia and Singapore have a long history together, and several notable Armenians have made their mark in our society, Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said in a Facebook post.

He said Raffles Hotel Singapore and The Straits Times were both started by Singaporean Armenians.

“Now, we are taking our bilateral relationship further, through exchanges and the Eurasian Economic Union-Singapore FTA which was concluded after only 2 years,” Lee Hsien Loong added.

He also informed that Singapore and Armenia will sign a bilateral Services and Investment Agreement.

Lee Hsien Loong arrived in Armenia on Saturday night for a four-day official visit. The Prime Minister is expected to participate in the Eurasian Economic Union summit in Yerevan, which will also feature Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani and leaders of EAEU member states.

On Sunday the Prime Minister shared a video from Yerevan.
