Mkhitaryan scores brace as Armenia beat Bosnia & Herzegovina 4-2

Armenia captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored twice and provided an assist in Armenia’s 4-2 win over Bosnia & Herzegovina in a Euro 2020 qualifier.

Mkhitaryan gave Armenia an early lead as he opened the score in the 3rd minute, but his Roma teammate Edin Džeko leveled the score 10 minutes later.

Mkhitaryan, Armenia’s record scorer, put his team back in front in the 66th minute, but the goal was shortly cancelled by Amer Gojak four minutes later.

Hovhannes Hambardzumyan scored the third in the 77th minute after a brilliant assist by Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Stjepan Loncar’s own goal in injury time sealed Armenia’s victory in a home match.

Armenia currently sit third in Group J with 9 points. Italy is the leader with 15 points, followed by Finland at 12.
