Armenia to perform third at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013

Armenia will perfom third at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013. This evening the running order for the 2013 Junior Eurovision Song Contest was decided at the Opening Party, according to the official webpage of the contest.

First of all, two ‘wildcards’ were selected, and these countries were able to choose their running order position. The wildcards were randomly drawn as Georgia and FYR Macedonia. After they selected their positions, Ukraine were asked to draw theirs randomly, followed by the remaining countries.

The result of the draw, and running order, is:

02 Azerbaijan
03 Armenia
04 San Marino
05 FYR Macedonia
06 Ukraine
07 Belarus
08 Moldova
09 Georgia
10 The Netherlands
11 Malta
12 Russia

Monica Avanesyan will represent Armenia at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013, which will take place in Kyiv, Ukraine, on November 30.

Armenia has won the contest once, back in 2010 when Vladimir Arzumanyan’s Mama took the trophy home from Minsk, Belarus. The country hosted the contest in 2011 in Yerevan.
