Yerevan is voting in City Council elections today.
One bloc and six political parties are running in the elections. These include the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Prosperous Armenia Party, Orinats Yerkir Party, the Armenian National Congress (ANC), Arakelutyun Party, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation and Barev Yerevan bloc of parties.
All 464 precincts opened in the capital at 8 a.m., the voting will continue until 8 p.m. The voter lists include 816,475 citizens.
The Central Electoral Commission will announce the preliminary results within 24 hours after the end of the voting. The final results will be summed up seven days after the election day.
