Candidate in the Armenian presidential election Vardan Sedrakyan is charged under Article 34.505 of the Criminal Code for ordering the shooting at another presidential candidate, leader of the National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan.
The Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts approved the mediation of the National Security Service to detain Sedrakyan for two months. Probe into the case is underway.
