The Police have reported new details of the assassination attempt on presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan. Probe into the case is underway at the Investigation Department of the National Security Service.
A criminal case has been launched under Articles 34 and 305 of the Criminal Code (attempt to commit a crime; assassination of a state, political or public figure).
A joint investigative group has been formed comprised of the employees of the National Security Service and the Police to reveal the identity and find the gunman.
A caliber 7.62mm bullet has been found at the site of the crime.
