The fall session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly was held in Albania’s capital Tirana October 5-7. Armenia was represented by Artashes Geghamyan, the head of the Armenian delegation to OSCE PA. Stepan Demirchyan from the Armenian National Congress did not attend the session because of illness, Vartan Oskanian of Prosperous Armenia – because of circumstances.

“Vartan Oskanian thought it wrong to participate. If I were him, I would go and make five speeches, would strongly defend the interests of our country, and this would cause many people to think,” Geghamyan said.

Geghamyan himself delivered five speeches at the session. He spoke against the resolution on the developments at the Turkish-Syrian border, noting that it could not contribute to the alleviation of tension.

“Turkey uses the OSCE platform as an ideological tool to make its presence in the organization weightier,” the MP said.
