
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the victory of the Civil Contract party in Armenia’s recent parliamentary elections.
In a congratulatory message, Sharif extended his “heartfelt congratulations” on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan, as well as in his personal capacity, on Pashinyan’s electoral success.
“Your re-election reflects the faith and confidence of the people of the Republic of Armenia in your leadership and your vision for a peaceful and progressive nation,” the Pakistani prime minister said.
Sharif expressed his willingness to work with Pashinyan to strengthen relations between Pakistan and Armenia. He also emphasized that Pakistan attaches great importance to peace and constructive cooperation between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“We hope that your new term in office will contribute to the advancement of peace, stability and economic development in the South Caucasus,” the message stated.
The Pakistani prime minister also wished Pashinyan good health and success, and extended his best wishes for continued progress and prosperity to the people of Armenia.
