Former Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan has been detained, according to media outlets. The information was confirmed by Kerobyan’s brother, Avetik Kerobyan, and his lawyer, Vache Simonyan.
As of now, the Armenian Investigative Committee has not officially confirmed the detention.
Kerobyan served as Armenia’s Economy Minister from November 2020 until February 2024. Details regarding the circumstances of his detention or the charges, if any, have not yet been released.
