
US President Donald Trump is expected to push a new peace plan to end the Israel-Gaza war when he hosts Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House later today.
But Netanyahu says nothing has been “finalized yet”, while Hamas say they have not formally been sent the proposal.
Israel is under increasing global pressure to end the conflict and occupation of the West Bank.
The US president has previously stressed that he “will not allow” Israel to annex the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
It comes as a wave of Western nations – including the UK, Canada and Australia – formally recognized an independent Palestinian state.
