Armenian journalists’ football team to compete in European Championship in Lithuania

The Armenian journalists’ national football team will take part in the European Journalists’ Football Championship, set to be held September 11–14 in Druskininkai, Lithuania.

Although this will be the first tournament under the new championship format, it marks the 20th edition of the football competition for media professionals. A record 14 teams are set to compete this year, representing countries including Armenia, Lithuania, Belarus, Latvia, Georgia, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Greece, Serbia, and others.

The opening day of the tournament will feature group stage matches, followed by a playoff round on the second day, where the top eight teams will battle for the title.

The event is being organized by the Lithuanian Union of Journalists, the Lithuanian Sports Journalists’ Association, and the Lithuanian Football Federation.
