Armenia, UAE to cooperate in developing space technologies

Armenia and UAE will continue cooperation in line with the principles of the Artemis Agreement, aimed at the peaceful use of space and the development of innovative solutions to global challenges facing humanity.

The possible cooperation in the field of scientific research and experimental developments was discussed at a meeting between Armenia’s High-Tech Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan and Salem Al Qubaisi, Director General of the United Arab Emirates Space Agency, in Abu Dhabi on February 17.

During the meeting, Minister Hayrapetyan presented Armenia’s vision for the development of the space sector, as well as the steps being taken in that direction. Salem Al Qubaisi, in turn, presented the experience of the UAE Space Agency, highlighting its achievements and major projects to be implemented.

The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation and reached an agreement on the implementation of joint programs aimed at developing space technologies and contributing to scientific and technological progress for the benefit of both states.
