Armenian PM offers condolences to families of Azerbaijan Airlines crash victims

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has offered condolences to the families of the victims of the Baku-Grozny flight.

“The tragedy that struck people living their daily lives cannot help but cause sorrow,” PM Pashinyan said in a post on X.

The plane, operated by Azerbaijan Airlines, caught fire as it went down near the city of Aktau. The cause of the crash is not know.

Azerbaijan Airlines flight J2-8243 was en route from Baku to Grozny in Russia.

There were 62 passengers and 5 crew members on board the Embraer 190 aircraft.
