The “Safe YOU” mobile application was introduced in Warsaw earlier this month, marking its launch in Poland – with the support of the UN Population Fund Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia and in cooperation with the Polish “Feminoteka” foundation, which focuses on tackling violence against women, the Armenian Embassy in Poland informs
The event was attended by the Ambassador of Armenia to Poland Alexander Arzoumanian, the Minister of Equality of Poland Katarzyna Kotula, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Poland, UN agencies, as well as Polish civil society and media.
Following a panel discussion as part of the global “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence” campaign, Mariam Torosyan, the founder of the “Safe YOU” app, demonstrated its features designed to combat violence against women and girls. The application supports victims by providing immediate assistance and offering free consultations with specialists in the field.
