Armenian Ambassador Vahagn Afyan presented his credentials to the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Following the ceremony, a brief conversation took place between the Armenian Ambassador and the President of Sri Lanka, which was followed by a meeting between Ambassador Vahagn Afyan and Sri Lanka’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vijitha Herath.
During the meeting, the development of cooperation in areas of mutual interest within the framework of the traditionally friendly bilateral relations and the expansion of mutually beneficial ties in other possible sectors respectively were emphasized.
The discussion also covered ongoing and prospective issues related to ensuring mutually acceptable cooperation between the two countries within international organizations.
