Poland’s President due in Armenia for official visit

Poland’s President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda will begin their official visit to Armenia today, Polish President’s Press Office reports.

In Yerevan, the President will meet with President Vaghagn Khachaturian and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. “One of the topics of the talks will be the situation in the region and the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” said Mieszko Pawlak, Head of the Bureau of International Policy.

Less than two weeks ago, Andrzej Duda met and talked with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, where he raised the topic.

According to the President’s Press Office, the policy of Russia in the South Caucasus will be another topic on the agenda.

The talks will also cover bilateral relations between Poland and Armenia, including economic relations, and relations between Armenia and the EU.

Today the President and his wife will meet with representatives of the Polish community in Armenian.

Tomorrow morning, Andrzej Duda will visit the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex. He will then meet with the President of Armenia, Vaghagn Khachaturian, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan.
