Armenian FM congratulates Andrii Sybiha on his appointment as Foreign Minister of Ukraine

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has congratulated Andrii Sybiha on his appointment as Foreign Minister of Ukraine.

“I look forward to our engagement and cooperation in further developing relations between Armenia and Ukraine,” Minister Mirzoyan said in a message on X.

He also thanked former Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba for years of constructive cooperation and wished him every success.

Ukraine’s parliament appointed Andrii Sybiha as the country’s new foreign affairs minister on Thursday.

Sybiha took over from Dmytro Kuleba, who had led the foreign ministry since 2020 but was ousted Wednesday as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy began the biggest reshuffle of government roles since Russia launched its full-scale invasion.

Sybiha was earlier the deputy chief of staff for Zelenskyy, before being promoted to first deputy minister for foreign affairs in April.
