The Ministry of High-Tech Industry has liberalized the 3600-3800 MHz frequency band for the introduction of a 5G broadband network to provide it to a mobile communication operator through a tender, the Ministry told Armenpress.
The Ministry said that it is now developing the quality standards and the terms of the tender package for the public mobile 5G broadband connection.
The Ministry has organized meetings with mobile communication operators in Armenia to discuss issues related to the introduction of 5G networks and their readiness and interest to participate in the tender and implement the work.
