The Goris-based AugmentAr Company is producing 3D printers. The company also offers various services related to three-dimensional printing.
According to the company’s Executive Director Artur Khojabaghyan, the company also implements educational projects in IT and aims to make Goris a technology hub. They are periodically developing new solutions to maximally expand the educational opportunities.
“What’s most important is that our printers print their own parts. By purchasing the missing parts from the market, we can have our own printer,” Khojabaghyan told Public Radio of Armenia correspondent Anush Mirzoyan.

The 3D printers are mostly being used at the Armath engineering laboratories. About 300 printers, each costing AMD 366 thousand, have been produced and provided to schools, where students have already started producing printers of their own, Khojabaghyan says.
The state covers the cost of the large consignment provided to Armath labs. Besides, the company benefits from tax privileges given to technology startups.
As a next step the AugmentAr Company aims to export a batch of 3D printers to the United States.
Artur Khojabaghyan says they also aim to have a tech park with tech companies, where students will do the order of those companies. They look to achieve it in 4-7 years.
