Israel says it has full control over Tehran’s skies as both sides continue strikes

Israel says it has “full aerial operational control” over the Iranian capital Tehran, four days after launching strikes on the country, the BBC reports.

“We have destroyed one third of the Iranian Regime’s surface-to-surface missile launchers,” Brigadier General Effie Defrin said in a media briefing.

Defrin said the air force destroyed more than 20 last night alone, “minutes before” they were used to send missiles towards Israel.

He said Israel also launched a wave of attacks targeting roughly 100 military targets in Isfahan in central Iran, deploying about 50 fighter jets to strike missile storage facilities, launchers and command centers.

Iran hit Israel with a wave of missile attacks overnight, with the number killed in Israel since Friday rising to 24.

Iran’s health ministry reports that at least 224 people have been killed in Israeli attacks since Friday.
